Weird Sights in Korea

Funny Sights in Korea

I just wanted to show you some of the funny sights I've seen while here in Korea so far!

Dogs being carried like children.

Very strange sea creatures - still no idea what these are, but they are weird!

Me adding to the weirdness by trying on hats...

Cool cart

Wish I had one of these...

Funny names...cafe or strip club?

Burning crops and the resulting haze...right by the road!

"Skin Food" - food or skincare...so confused ;)

Sticky ice cream...

Plastic dogs

Miniature cars! I so want one!

Garden tillers attached to carts for market day ~

Random workers in the middle of a downtown street!

Yeah, hopefully this "Hooters" isn't still open. Looks super sketchy!

Laundry drying in the window of the restaurant we ate at...

Strange toilets:

Lots of stuff on sticks!

Signs with pictures showing no pets and no pet poop!

Kung Fu Panda statues at skating rinks!

 Underground shopping -

Merchants with giant umbrellas!

Outdoor dining

Misspelled English even on the US bases!

Strange English names...

Local eggs are all different colors!

They are trying to use English ;)

I believe this is a pet shop, not a dining establishment ;)

Aren't ALL Christian churches supposed to be "Full Gospel"?

Not sure why there is a goat on that sign...

These little clay things with holes in them are everywhere! Really wish I knew what they were...

Elaborate toilets and sinks! Even soccer-themed ones!

Or gold-leaf ones!

Oh the English names are awesome...

I really want one of these!

"Older Sister" huh?

Many of the trees were numbered there at the corners of the metal grates:

Game/vendors for everything!

"Atom" - never did figure out what that one was...

Truck (selling who knows what) driving around our neighborhood and yelling over a bullhorn.

Love the names...

"Hand-drip" - not sure I want anyone's hands involved in my coffee ;)

"I am Dental Clinic"

Even the inside of the eggs are different colors. They tasted fine! Hope they were normal ;)

"No Trousers" No service! So make sure you have your trousers on!

How are potatoes involved with guitars?

"Charlie Brown Gift Land"

"Unicorn Bag"

Yeah, pretty sure it's a kid's clothing store...not sure why the pictured babies are peeing and pooping?!

My husband was amused by this combination hammer and multi tool:

This is how Koreans stay so fit! And live so long! They work hard!!

Hope you enjoyed! I'm sure I will post more in the future ;)

  1. Nice blog and pictures. As for your questions about those "clay things.." they are used charcoal briquettes from barbecue restaurants. And those trucks driving around with bullhorns are selling anything from fruit to vegetables to seasonal fish or collecting used electronics for recycling ^^
