Shopping for Craft Supplies in Dongdaemun!!
Yesterday, me and a few friends took went to Dongdaemun. It was my first time and it was amazing, overwhelming and totally worth it!
We saw every kind of fabric and craft item you can think of it seemed like.
We took the train from Pyeongtaek (at AK Plaza) to Yongsan Station.
I reserved my ticket online ahead of time, so I knew I would have a seat.
Yongsan Station looks like an airport! It's huge! It connects to shopping malls and the metro and has a restaurant upstairs even.
Tucked back in a corner like the one you see at the bottom right of this picture, there was a banana vending machine!
In a lot of bathrooms in Korea, they have little urinals and areas for little boys to use in the women's restroom. I don't know why I find this fascinating, except to note that we don't have those in the U.S.
Even a little toilet for a little privacy...
See!! I wasn't lying! A banana vending machine!! They even had little cases you could buy to keep your banana in. The cases and bananas were sold separately and each were just under 2,000 won.
One friend with me bought a banana and it looked and tasted great she said!
We went down to the metro and followed the signs for the 1 line.
We got really turned around though!! You can take the 1 line or 4 line to get to Dongdaemun
